0

Pests are not always bothersome! There are few stubborn though, but they can be dealt with by following certain natural methods. In fact, natural methods do not pose any health hazard to humans; nor are these allergic. You can call any pest control company to help you understand such natural methods.

Let’s quickly go through certain natural ways to deal with some common pests at your place:

  • Clear Trash Daily

Open trash can is a clear invitation to most of the common pests like roaches, rodents, flies, mosquitoes and other small pests. Make a habit of removing your trash bags daily even if the trash is not full in the can. Leaving trash even for a night will double the number of already present pests at your place. The best things is keep less number of trash cans at your place so, you can easily empty it off.

  • Place Baits or Sticky Pads

You can make your own bait (mix herbal medicine with some eatable) and place this mixture near the hotspot areas of pests. This bait makes the pests uncomfortable and they simply run out of their hotspot areas. You can also place sticky pads (these are bright yellow colored pads with hard glue on it) near or around the pests’ areas. Though these sticky pads are very harsh on pests and they get torn apart when stuck on these pads.

  • Fix Any Leakage

If there’s any water pipe leakage, tap leakage or bathtub or sink leakage, this will make the place too wet and marshy. Small pests and insects automatically start breeding in such areas. No matter how hard and frequently you use pesticides; the effects won’t be fruitful or longer. Hence, it is important that you fix all the leakages at your place to keep it dry and pest free. Get this fixed even if you have to call for a professional plumber.

  • Use Herbal Pesticides

Herbal pesticides are safe on humans, particularly the kids and senior citizens, but work better on some common pests like roaches, bugs, lizards, flies, etc. Besides, these do not emit any toxic odor alike the chemical-based pesticides. You can take these from any market store or shop and you do not even need any permit to use these.

You just need to be careful with the kids or pets in your house. Place them at a place where the kids and pets cannot access.

  • Do Not Litter or Leave Food

Any kind of food is an open call for different types of pests. Once these pests enter your place, it would be difficult for you to take them out. If littering food or leaving food in your plate is a habit of yours or any of your family member’s, then this habit needs to be changed immediately.

If this habit persists then it does not matter what kind of pesticide you use and how many times you use it. Clean your meal plates after every meal and keep all the utensils back in its place systematically.

  • Store Things Systematically

Cluttering is a major nuisance. You really need to de-clutter your house if it is full of old things that are non-useful. Also, store things systematically; avoid stacking them over one another. This makes the place a home for all sorts of pests. There should be a system for storing things appropriately as this gives an access to all the nooks and corners of your house.
